Most people use Orbit.me because their messages come from many places and they’re tired of piecing everything together manually. Orbit.me creates order from that chaos.

With your permission, Orbit.me gathers messages and events from across your accounts and groups them into topics called Orbits. Think of each one as a single view for one part of your life—school, family health, an upcoming trip, or a work project.

Open an Orbit and you’ll see:

• What’s changed since you last looked
• To-dos and next steps
• Upcoming events
• A clear summary
• The original emails and messages, if you want them

You can also chat with any Orbit to dig deeper—find that confirmation number, pull up what someone said last week, or get a quick answer without searching through threads yourself.

Orbit also includes Flows—automated actions that handle things for you. A morning digest of what changed, a reminder before a deadline slips by, an alert when something urgent comes in. You can describe your own in plain language, and Orbit builds them.

Today, Orbit.me connects directly to:

• Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Contacts through secure Google authorization.
• The Microsoft family of email, calendar, and contacts providers: Outlook.com, Hotmail.com, Msn.com, Live.com, or Exchange365 accounts.
• IMAP email accounts such as Yahoo, iCloud, AOL, and others.
• Through our community connectors, you can also bring in messages from WhatsApp and Google Messages (Android SMS).

Yes. Orbit.me is designed for personal organization and private use. Like any email or messaging app, your data is your data, and we respect that.

• Messages are encrypted in transit and at rest
• Each user’s data is isolated and access-controlled
• You can delete or export your data at any time
• We use synthetic or anonymized data—not your personal content—when training models
• Orbit is Google Verified and CASA Type 2 Certified—meaning independent reviewers have tested and confirmed our security practices

No one at Orbit reads your messages.

Your messages are encrypted with a key unique to you, and all processing happens inside a hardware-secured environment that’s completely isolated from our systems. No person or system can access your data without your user-specific key. Privacy isn’t a feature we added—it’s the foundation we started with.

No. We do not use your personal messages to train models. Training uses synthetic, anonymized, or publicly available data. The AI providers we work with are under enterprise agreements that prohibit them from storing your data or using it for training.

Only the ones you choose. You decide which sources to connect, and you can disconnect any of them at any time.

Orbit also respects the privacy settings within your apps. For example, WhatsApp messages you’ve marked as locked are never brought into Orbit.

Orbits are thematic spaces that gather everything related to a topic—whether that’s school communication, home projects, an upcoming trip, or anything else in your life.

Orbits update themselves as new messages arrive, surfacing what matters and putting the rest in context.

Email and messaging apps are built to interrupt—every new message gets a ping, no matter how important it is. Orbit is built to let you focus. It brings together messages from across all your apps and organizes them by topic, so instead of reacting to one notification at a time, you can sit down with one part of your life—school, family health, a work project—and see the full picture.

You check in when you’re ready, not when a notification tells you to.

And with Flows, Orbit goes further—it doesn’t just organize, it acts. Remind you before a deadline, flag a schedule conflict, send you a morning summary. Describe what you need, and it handles the rest.

That said, we’re building toward letting you reply and take action on messages without leaving Orbit. Our hope is that over time, Orbit becomes where you stay on top of your emails and messages—not because it replaces your apps, but because everything is already organized and waiting for you in one place.

Flows are automated actions that work on your behalf. Describe what you need—“remind me before school fees are due” or “send me a morning summary of what changed overnight”—and Orbit builds it, tests it, and runs it.

Orbit comes with a few Flows built in, like your Daily Digest and Urgent Alerts. You can also create your own in plain language—no setup, no coding.

Not at all. You describe what you want in your own words, and Orbit takes care of the rest—building, testing, and running it. If something isn’t clear, Orbit will ask a follow-up question before it starts.

Orbit keeps notifications minimal and helpful, focusing on timely or meaningful updates such as:

• A schedule change
• A key message from a trusted sender
• A daily or weekly summary

Dr. Bill Simmons is an MIT PhD and co-founder of DataXu, an AI company acquired by Roku for $150M. After years at Roku and The Trade Desk, he turned years of frustration with communication technology into Orbit. As a parent and caregiver, the problem was always personal—not just professional.

Maximo Gurmendez spent his career building AI systems that work at scale—leading ML engineering at DataXu, founding a company acquired in 2023, and teaching data science at the university level. He and Bill have been working together for 17 years.

Together, they’re building the product they always wished existed.
