With your permission, Orbit reads your Gmail messages, Google Calendar events, and Google Contacts to organize your communication into life-based themes called Orbits—surfacing important updates, to-dos, and events so nothing slips through. You can also reply to emails and create calendar events directly from Orbit, without switching apps.
We protect your data by design
- Your messages are encrypted with a key unique to you—no person or system can access them without your user-specific key
- AI processing happens inside isolated, hardware-secured environments with no outside access
- Our AI providers process your data only to deliver Orbit’s features and do not store or retain it afterward
- Orbit never sends emails or creates calendar events without your explicit action
- Disconnecting a Google service revokes access and permanently deletes all imported data
Google API Services User Data Policy
Orbit’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- We only use Google data to provide and improve user-facing features in Orbit—including reading messages, sending replies you initiate, and managing calendar events you create
- We do not use Google data for advertising, retargeting, or interest-based ads
- We do not sell or transfer Google data to third parties except to provide Orbit’s features
- We do not use your Google data to train AI models
- Your Google data is encrypted with a key unique to you—no person or system at Orbit can access it without your user-specific key. Even in cases where access might be permitted (such as a legal requirement), your data cannot be read without going through the secured key management process
